Day two of PPL – Pull Light

Day two of my new PPL split has been completed. Pull Light. The exercises were the following:

  • Deadlift
  • Chinups
  • Bent over row
  • Barbell curl/rear-delt superset
  • Farmer’s carry/oblique crunch superset

I had forgotten my plan to stick to the MWF schedule for ab-work and accidentally programmed in the oblique crunches. Actually felt pretty good, so I’ll play it by ear with the abs. Maybe it won’t be so bad to hit them more frequently but in smaller amounts for now.

Overall the session went pretty well, the upper-body felt great after the workout with a good burn and good fatigue.

Kinda jacked up the left hip though, even woke up with something off about it. Walking doesn’t hurt, nor do sagittal and frontal plane leg swings but the hinging motion feels wrong, even now about three hours later. Kept getting this clanking sound from the back of the joint itself, like it was dislocating and popping back into place. It’s more of an aching pain, radiating a bit to encompass the entire left pelvic girdle area, though not a bad pain but enough to note there’s something wrong. Hope I haven’t permanently something something.
